Flipkart Lite Looks Very Different From its Desktop Site & Smartphone App. Its Look Like Flipkart Completely Redesigned the UI . We tried looking for products on the mobile site and both the navigation and interface looked pretty smooth. There is also an option to pin the page as a web app.
Few Months Ago, Flipkart went app-only by making some of its product categories exclusive to purchase only via its smartphone app. Due to this move, many users were forced to download the smartphone app.
While the app only Strategycaused a lot outrage among users, Flipkart now seems to have backed down on its plans by offering light version of the website on smartphones.
It might be because of an update in Google’s search algorithm .
Google Announced,
“Starting today, pages with an app install interstitial that hide a significant amount of content on the transition from the search result page won’t be considered mobile-friendly,” via its Google Plus page on November 3.
